About the role:
The Oracle Fusion Finance Techno-Functional Consultant will primarily focus on technical design, development, integrations, and extensibility of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (approx. 70%), while providing functional expertise, process configuration, and business engagement (approx. 30%). The role requires strong hands-on technical capabilities across integration platforms, APIs, scripting, and reporting, together with solid finance domain knowledge to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities — Technical (70%)
- Lead technical design, build, testing, deployment, and support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials integrations, extensions, and customizations.
- Implement data movement and conversions using FBDI, HDL, ADFdi, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or equivalent ETL tools; design data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and maintain customizations and extensibility solutions: Groovy scripting, Visual Builder, Application Composer, Page Composer, Fast Formulas, and ADF/ADFdi components.
- Build BI Publisher templates, OTBI analyses, and custom reports; optimize report performance and data model usage.
- Create structured business documents (SBD), XSLT transformations, and payload mappings (XML/JSON/CSV); manage SFTP/secure file transfers.
- Implement security-related technical configurations: roles, privileges, privilege sets, and programmatic access controls; support SOD automation checks.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes and performance tuning.
- Produce and maintain technical artifacts: integration specifications, interface maps, API contracts, technical design documents, runbooks, and support guides.
Key Responsibilities — Functional (30%)
- Conduct functional analysis, fit/gap assessments, and map business requirements to Fusion capabilities.
- Configure core Fusion Financials modules as needed: ledgers, chart of accounts, subledgers, payment methods, tax, bank setups, and security role provisioning.
- Create functional specifications and acceptance criteria for technical deliverables; validate technical solutions against business needs.
- Support UAT planning and defect triage; prepare functional test scenarios and assist business users during UAT.
- Provide end-user training focused on new technical features and integrations; prepare user guides and process documentation.
- Participate in cutover planning and validate data migration results; support business change and post-go-live hypercare activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of combined Oracle Financials experience with at least 4 years in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials in a strongly technical role.
- Proficient in data-loading technologies (FBDI, HDL), ETL tooling (ODI or equivalent), and complex data transformation/mapping.
- Strong development experience with Groovy, Visual Builder, Application Composer, Page Composer, ADF/ADFdi, and Fast Formulas.
- Experience building BI Publisher reports, OTBI analysis, and optimizing reporting performance.
- Familiarity with XML/JSON payloads, XSLT, SFTP, and file-based integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of security frameworks in Fusion Cloud, role/privilege design, and SOD concepts.
- Functional understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, P2P) sufficient to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills; able to lead technical discussions with stakeholders.

- Oracle Cloud certifications: Oracle Financials Cloud and/or Oracle Integration Cloud certifications.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-country rollouts and localization/tax customizations.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and integration test automation.
