Senior QA Engineer - Salesforce

Key Responsibilities

• Own test strategy, planning, and execution for Partner Portal features across releases
• Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and reusable test scripts aligned to business requirements
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing, ensuring complete coverage of critical workflows
• Validate end-to-end partner lifecycle flows including:
  • Lead management and routing
  • Opportunity management workflows
  • Deal registration processes
  • Partner onboarding journeys
• Test and validate role-based access control (RBAC) and ensure correct data visibility across partner user types
• Execute integration testing across Salesforce modules (Sales Cloud, Partner Communities, etc.) and external systems (APIs, middleware)
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA; drive defects to closure with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to refine requirements and ensure testability
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and release planning from a QA perspective
• Support release cycles, including pre-release validation, production smoke testing, and post-deployment verification
• Validate UI/UX consistency, usability, and cross-browser/device compatibility for portal users
• Ensure data integrity, validation rules, and security compliance across partner workflows and integrations
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and automation opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
• Hands-on experience testing Salesforce ecosystems (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud / Partner Portal)
• Experience validating RBAC, data security, and multi-tenant access scenarios
• Solid experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools
• Good understanding of Salesforce objects (Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Cases
• Good understanding of SQL for data validation and backend verification
• Knowledge of security testing and role hierarchy validation in Salesforce
• Basic SOQL knowledge for data validation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Good to Have Skills

• Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release validation
• Knowledge of performance testing basics (JMeter or similar)
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards
